What happens in Vegas is blogged about here.

Tropicana Entertainment to file Chapter 11

It’s not all rosy for some Las Vegas strip properties. The aging Tropicana and its parent company are seeking bankruptcy protection. Revenues have been down on the strip, as more travellers are choosing to stay at home. Their financial troubles can be directly attributed to the New Jersey gaming license board back in December. They stripped the company of its license in Jersey after less than a year, effectively crippling the company.

The resorts are still open of course and business at the Trop has been going on as usual. If they can manage to hold out for another 12 months or so, I think they’ll be able to get things back on track.
